Tiger beer and Singapore go together like......blimey....I can't think of anything...Morecambe and Wise...? The taste isn't too strong and I think part of the appeal if that it's a cool, refreshing, beverage in this climate. It's easy on the palate and actually a palate cleanser. It's not too gassy which is ideal for this climate (full of a gassy liquid in a hot environment? Think of a can of coke left in a hot car during the summer....)
Now some barman are the font of all knowledge. Take Jeremy here. Apparently the Tiger Super Cool (which I can highly recommend) is apparently served at -2c. It must also be poured at 45 degrees. OK - so I got to pour my own beer but it came at a cost. I then spent two and a half hours chatting to the bar's Manager giving feedback and tips on sales and marketing strategy. I'm sure I pointed him in the right direction!! I do like to spread the word on my travels. Oh well....the service was good at least!! Back to some food tasting next blog....
