Bray - Food is for wimps

Food? You eat it to stay alive. You eat to live not live to eat. Or so I thought until a old pal's birthday led to an evening out at the Fat Duck in Bray. Heard of it? It's only a three star Michelin star restaurant and has previously been vote the best restaurant in the world.

A few hours later...a few pounds heavier...the world of food, flavours, and the combination of all senses in an alluring mix, the world is a different place to the one I left after first entering the restaurant. My whole concept of food has changed. For all those parents forever scalding their kids for listening to their ipod over dinner? Time to change your perceptions as The Fat Duck uses this sense to good effect as you listen to the sound of waves crashing and seagulls bleating whilst tucking into a seafood dish.

So with a trip in a couple of days to Singapore and Malaysia the chance to sample the dishes of this region with a new set of taste buds is an opportunity not to be missed. Snail Porridge in Penang? Sound of the Sea in Singapore? My taste buds await.
